Born this way? Nope.

Turns out the science does not support “Born this way”.

The ratio of homosexual pedophiles to heterosexual pedophiles is 11:1 which means gays are 5 times more likely to molest children assuming gays comprise about 2% of the population. (source : ncbi )

Comparative Data of Childhood and Adolescence Molestion in Heterosexual and Homosexual Persons (source :Archives of Sexual Behavior The Official Publication of the International Academy of Sex Research)

“In research with 942 nonclinical adult participants, gay men and lesbian women reported a significantly higher rate of childhood molestation than did heterosexual men and women. Forty-six percent of the homosexual men in contrast to 7% of the heterosexual men reported homosexual molestation. Twenty-two percent of lesbian women in contrast to 1% of heterosexual women reported homosexual molestation. This research is apparently the first survey that has reported substantial homosexual molestation of girls. Suggestions for future research were offered.”

So basically it’s very likely that homosexuals themselves are a product of molestation (and obviously molestation has negative consequences on psyche — but they can, in theory, be corrected/healed).

There are legitimate concerns over sampling, however, given the enormous difference in between groups, that becomes less relevant.

And this would also explain the skewed ration of 11:1 in pedophilia, considering the theory that generally abused people tend to repeat the act they’ve been subjected to.*

They probably had the cognition scheme for sexuality and intimacy messed up and they’re simply acting on it.

Even the NYTimes acknowledges the research in this area is significent. (NTYimes Search for causes and remedies)

It’s common knowledge within welfare organisations, the cycle of abuse is real.

More context (previous researches) for the second research paper (Comparative Data of Childhood and Adolescence Molestion in Heterosexual adn Homosexual Persons ):

Bradford et al. (1994) reported that 25% of 1,925 lesbians surveyed had been sexually abused or raped as children. They said that 31% of the perpetrators were male…
